pLOT v1.0.8a is out with two major changes/additions and a few extra shortcut keys. First, the graphics have been overhauled. The lines and graphics have been smoothed out (except brackets which are still in progress) and should eliminate the old Floodfill problem.
See the image below for a comparison of the old (top) and new (bottom) drawing methods
Second, pLOT v1.0.8a allows you to generate and save sequence-less vector maps. To make one, click the "New Sequence" menu item under the File menu or the corresponding quick menu button and click the "Sequence-Independent Map" option. Enter the name of your new sequence and after you've clicked OK, you will be prompted to enter the size your sequence is to have.
Once you have entered a valid size and clicked "OK", you can add/delete/change annotations in the normal Annotations window (shortcut = Ctrl + E).
Shortcut keys on the main window:
Ctrl + E opens up the Annotations editor. This now automatically goes to the last item clicked.
Ctrl + R opens the restriction enzyme selection window
Ctrl + G opens up the virtual gel
Ctrl + I opens the window to insert a sequence

Ctrl + Up moves the last feature you clicked on away from the vector center
