pLOT 1.0.9f

pLOT 1.0.9f if now out with some fixes and updates.  Apologies for the length of time it took to release.  We've been moving and have had only sporadic internet and free time.

  • pLOT v1.0.9f now allows the use of Genbank annotations.  Previously, saved files saved all features as “misc_feature”.  Now the annotations editing window allows you to change how each feature will be stored (rep_origin, promoter, etc..).  You can enter your own identifier if you prefer to do so but you must stick to the Genbank formatting requirements of no spaces in the name.  Use underscores where spaces would otherwise be used.  Annotations can also be changed in the Annotations library.
  • Menus have been updated to look a bit better than the standard gray menues.    This was made possible in no small part through previous work of Steve McMahon who wrote and made freely accessible to programmers, the library files SSubTmr6.dll & cPopMenu6.ocx.
  • The Recent Opened File menu now allows the option of sorting by name or date.  Hovering over file names also now display the whole path in the status bar at the bottom.
  • Hovering over features now shows the length and GenBank type.  This can be changed under the preferences menu.
  • The Virtual Gel window now allows scrolling if gel image is wider than the window.   Previously, you’d have to stretch the window.  Now a horizontal scroll bar is present at the bottom of the window to let you do this.
  • A bug has been fixed that could cause crashes if the primer manager was opened and no primers were present.

This requires a full installation.  Please be sure that ALL files are deleted from the Program files/pLOT directory.  *Windows 7+ does not always erase the pLOT.exe and pLOT.dll files on uninstall*
